Our mission on better planet

Our mission is to be better on our planet from the beginning of our start and leave as small ecological footprint as possible. We are saving resource consumption and emissions from manufacturing all our fabrics and products right here in Estonia. All our products that are currently available are made of GOTS certified Organic cotton that is toxin-free, good for your skin and better for the environment.

Main goal is to create better products that could last longer and when you decide that it’s time for something new, we hope that you recycle our product so the materials in them remain in use. When sending out orders, we use a fully biodegradable mailer bag. This is actual tested decomposing packaging made from natural resin, that is ‘OK Compost!’ certified. Don’t worry - our packages are still waterproof and durable, and it protects your product from rain, dust or punctures! We love adventures and being outdoors. We want to inspire others to spend more time outside and finding fun activities while improving your everyday healthy lifestyle.

Our biggest future plan is to start using recycled materials in our products, such as recycled cotton and recycled polyester. Why? Because recycled polyester has a lower impact on air and water resources than virgin polyester and we would like to reduce dependence on fossil fuels by reusing those materials that already exist. Therefore, we would like to create our own Close the Loop program, which allows you to send back your unwanted clothing and we could recycle it for you. Also, we would like to go plastic-free in any aspect of our production. We are making plans to collaborate with crazy inspiring earth-friendly organizations.

Biodegradable packaging

When it comes to sustainability, one huge part of leaving a small ecological footprint, is having a planet friendly packaging for delivering your products. Since day 1 here at North Fjord, we have been using biodegradable mailer bags made out of natural resin. This kind of packaging if fully biodegradable yet durable and leak-proof. This way we can assure that the product gets to you in a perfect condition yet the packaging will be soon decomposed into soil-form. It's great!

Our biodegrabale mailer bags are 'OK Compost' certified - this means that when you put it in your bio-waste, the landfills will decompose it and it'll be gone in no time. No permanent plastic waste - happier planet! :)
